U-Tena has been implementing KUZA project since 2012 to date. Kuza is a safe space for girls to talk about issues that allows them to talk about all the issues and concerns that impact the girls’ daily lives and future. Things like high school work, college, pregnancy, HIV among others are always discussed. Girls are also given the a chance to get exposed to other careers and different mentors so that they can get to hear from the very best. On 22 nd June, 2018 at least 30 Kuza participants got to make a visit to Akili Dada Organization for a career/motivational talk, in the aim to ignite their aspirations and shape their dreams. U-Tena also bared the idea of having the girls get an in- depth understanding of women in careers and how they can be an impact to their communities and beyond once they complete their studies. Akili Dada were indeed able to ignite the girls aspirations and shape their dreams. The girls received mentor-ship on career Goals, Relationships, Entrepreneurship, Overcoming challenges, Time Management and Self Awareness.
