Lilian Jepkoech Cheptumo
Advocate for Holistic Youth Development & Community Empowerment Lilian Jepkoech Cheptumo is a youth development and community empowerment advocate with training in Leadership and Management and a Certificate in Psychological Counselling. She is dedicated to supporting adolescents and vulnerable groups, including teen mothers, through mentorship, psychosocial support, and pathways toward economic independence. Her work is rooted in community-led education and the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodology, where she supports learners in Grades 2–5 to rebuild foundational literacy and numeracy skills and regain confidence in learning. Lilian combines education, counselling principles, and practical empowerment approaches to help young people navigate transitions and build resilience for the future. Beyond her professional work, she is a creative practitioner who expresses herself through abstract painting, singing, and song writing. She also practices urban gardening using up cycled materials to promote sustainability and food security. She is committed to creating inclusive spaces where young people can overcome barriers, strengthen their agency, and build self-reliant futures. |
